Everyday Rowena

I'm Rowena and I blog at Book Binge. I read lots of romance, YA and lately, NA. You'll find a lot of those on my shelves.

Some Like It Wild - Teresa Medeiros I have been waiting for this book for quite a while now...well, ever since I finished Some Like It Wicked. I was mighty intrigued by Connor Kincaid in the first book and was looking forward to getting to know more about him in this book.Teresa Medeiros didn't disappoint...well not much anyway. My only problem with the book was that it took awhile for me to get past those first few chapters. I found that it was too easy for me to put the book down after every few paragraphs because I wasn't as wrapped up in the story as I was instantly with Some Like It Wicked. I didn't warm up to the story and to Pamela until they were both on their way to London to go meet the Duke. This story is about a woman who has revenge on her mind and a man who has nothing left to lose. Pamela Darby's mother died in a fire and she's out to get revenge against the man she thinks is responsible for it and she needs a man to help with that...enter Connor. Connor is running out of time, he's been gone from his people for awhile now and he needs to quit messing around and get his shit together. Together, these two come together to pull off the biggest act of their lives and hopefully fool everyone into believing their lies to keep them both from getting hanged.Pamela wasn't an easy heroine to like at first. It wasn't that she was a bitch or hard to like or anything but she was kind of forgettable to me. I didn't see what was so good about her. Pamela herself says that she's kind of just there, existing whereas her sister gets all the attention. It wasn't until you kept reading that you found out just how great she really is. She's one of those take charge kind of heroines, the one that needs to be in control all of the time and when they arrive at the Duke's house and Connor flips the script on her and starts acting like the Duke he's pretending to be, I could not stop laughing.I loved Connor, I thought he was a great hero. He definitely lived up to the hype that I built up over the last few months, waiting for this book to come out. I thought he was fantastic, a total stud and he made me laugh through out the entire book. Him and his band of brothers (Brodie especially) were too much fun. I enjoyed getting to know him and I'm glad that he got his happily ever after, he definitely deserved it.As a whole, this book was another winner for me. Teresa Medeiros wrote another action packed, witty novel and I am definitely glad that I read it. I thoroughly enjoyed the book after that beginning hump and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great historical novel with memorable characters and a well written story.
